About Betina
Betina's Garden, owned by Betina and Samy Sabbagh, opened in The Marketplace of Absecon, New Jersey, in 2001. The two owners bring to the shop a background of experience and diversity that helps make this shop a unique and exclusive place to shop while it maintains a comfortable, creative and relaxed atmosphere.
Betina Sabbagh came to the United States after being born and raised in a suburb of Copenhagen, Denmark. In Denmark, you must attend the University to study formally and receive a three year degree in Floral Design. Betina's first flower shop, FLORA, was in Denmark, where her parents helped every day.
After four years in her first shop Betina met and married Samy Sabbagh and she moved to the United States where Samy was staying with his brother in Northfield, New Jersey. Though Samy helps in the shop when nessesary, he is also the Broker and Office Manager for Century 21, O'Donnell in Egg Harbor City, NJ.
Betina has been asked to speak for many local organizations such as the Northfield Garden Club, the Somers Point Garden Club and the Harbor Pines Ladies Club.
Betina has also hosted design classes for guests at the Marriott's Seaview Resort.
She has been awarded by The Press of Atlantic City for being one of the best florist in Atlantic County.
Betina has received the Holy Spirit High School "Spirit of Music" award for three years in a row.
Betina and her staff make an effort to be involved in many activities. Betina is frequently asked to participate in a contest or help organize and host a bridal show.
